"No," Toshiro stated, rising from his spot. "You cannot expect me to join in with this and actually do this do you?!"

"Captain, it is the rule…"

"Rangiku, I have you to blame for this," Toshiro glared at his lieutenant who was suspiciously rosy in the cheeks. "You stepped above your rank and dragged me to this event. You will certainly know what you've done when I'm finished with you."

"But captaiiiin…" Rangiku whined. "It was Yoruichi who spun the bottle, blame her."

"Hey!" Yoruichi defended. "You were the one who wanted to bring him. You knew what could happen."

"I hadn't intended this," Rangiku blushed further. "I was hoping to enjoy a bit of fun here."

"And what exactly did you need me for Rangiku?" Toshiro turned to his lieutenant and acquired his infamous frosty attitude.

"I was kinda hoping you would help me home," Rangiku wobbled slightly before righting herself. "You never drink so you would know how to help."

"So I was to be your assistant?" Toshiro was looking less than impressed.

Rangiku was so intimidated that she poured herself another drink and quickly downed it.

"Rangiku!" Toshiro growled.

"Do you know how incredibly cute you are when you're angry?" Rangiku smiled before reaching up, grabbing Toshiro's cheek and pulling it like a baby's face.

"Yep," Renji held back a laugh. "She's totally gone."

"She is such a lightweight," Yoruichi smirked.

"Rangiku," Toshiro knocked away the hand. "Control yourself."

"You're mean," She pouted before falling back into Ichigo's arms.

"And you are drunk," Toshiro began to turn when Ichigo stopped him.

"Hey," Ichigo righted Rangiku and sat her down. "You could have stopped her from bringing you."

"Your point, Kurosaki?"

"Toshiro, you followed her," Ichigo smirked. "You also could have stopped her from treating you like a kid but that was funny."

"You will address me as Hitsugaya!" Toshiro growled and began to reach for his zanpakto when the alarm bell sounded.

"All squads, please respond to the large hollow attack that is currently occurring in the world of the living. Rapid assistant is required." The voice on the inter-com was low and demanding and everyone in the group stopped and listened.

"Right," Ichigo's demeanour became serious and determined. "It's time to go."

Each group left and made their way to the gate. Toshiro was also preparing to leave when someone caught his attention.

"I'm ready captain," Rangiku staggered to attention and started towards the gate.

"Rangiku," Toshiro was tough but kind. "You are in no condition to go anywhere."

"What?"

"You will remain here and try to regain enough self-awareness to help with base monitoring," Toshiro cut off anything Rangiku would say next and then left.

"He may be cute when angry," Rangiku smiled. "But he's adorable when he's concerned. Still won't stop me from going."

Rangiku stepped down the steps and nearly fell backwards.

"Though maybe I will need something to take the edge off," Rangiku giggled as she stumbled. "Oops."

And she slowly wobbled to the gate, hiccupping along the way.

When Rangiku finally made it through the Precipice World, she found that the threat had gone from simple Gillians to a Menos Grande and a hoard of Gillians.

"Oh dear," Rangiku reached for her zanpakto and missed. "I think saying this is a problem would be an understatement."

Once she had managed to draw her weapon she took a step forward…and fell flat on her face.

"Ouch," Rangiku remained there, unable to muster the energy to haul herself to her feet.

"Wah…whaa haa haa," A hollow approached the paralysed Rangiku and raised its club, preparing to strike.

Before it could attack, a large segmented sword sliced through its chest.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Renji picked Rangiku up and tried to defend the inebriated soul reaper. "Why did you come out here?"

"I wanted to help…whoa," Rangiku held her head in pain.

"What's wrong?" Renji looked down.

"Could you stop moving so fast," She replied. "My head's hurting."

Renji sighed and hung his head in exasperation when he was knocked over and ended up throwing Rangiku half way across the field.

"Uh oh," Renji turned back to his attacker and began to defend himself.

Ichigo sliced through a Gillian before he came across Toshiro who was having to defend off a group of them. He ran over and cut down a hollow that was trying to sneak up on the young captain.

"Why did you do that?!" Toshiro shouted.

"A simple thank you would do," Ichigo blocked another hollow.

"I didn't ask for your help," Toshiro turned to face Ichigo when he was knocked forward by a flying object.

The resulting situation was captured by the little Yachiru.

"Haa haa," She giggled and she tucked the camera in her robes. "Ichigo and Toshiro, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
The second instalment of my Bleach fan fic for :iconi-clone-cave-iron:. I hope that it's got some humour in it and I would love feedback :3
